Thanks again, I've been try dig more iron especially if it sounds bigger then a square nail. It's been a lot of digging but I got a few keepers. I got a bullet worm last week. HH

Awesome job JDug!!!! I would not let a beep go untouched at that spot!

I had the best day ever. Then I get home and was cleaning my finds and thought I was cleaning a Eagle button without a button back. Then I noticed a eye down inside. I got out the Aluminum jelly and brought this ALABAMA VOLUNTEER CORP button to life.

What is Aluminum jelly and where can I find some? I have a few buttons that could use a little love. And if you can share what is the best way to clean them up. Thanks, and nice finds.

Just google duro aluminum jelly and order it online from the dealer of your choice. It's a aluminum polish that only works on buttons with guilt. Just apply lightly with toothbrush after all the dirt is off. Make sure you rinse thoroughly as it is acidic. There's probably better ways so do your homework and ask around.

Thank you sir. I would agree with you but Im worried the landowner will change his mind , he's already talking about family members and getting metal detectors.

Fantastic cleaning job, and a KILLER button find!

Thanks. It took me 7 to 8 months to find and get permission at this spot. Never in a million years did I think there was a AVC in the ground.
