Hello all,
A friend of mine took me out to where he hunts for white tails.Which happens to be near a cluster of cellar holes! We ran into a ton of of Iron but managed to pop a few items.Im not good at aging a site so if anyone has any idea how old this site may be please chime in and let me know what you think by looking at some of the find photos. It looks like there have been no detecting here before.Lots of stuff on the ground, plates bottles Iron ect.No debris on rocks left by others.Looks like the owner had no one here in a long time.Last photo of the mud is a bear track found near the cellar hole area.Seems bears are becoming more common around here.HH Tom

Nice finds. Tough hunting cellar holes this time of year... I should know. I hunted a couple today as well. Nothing like hunting a cellar hole on a 90 degree summer day. :laughing7:

Hello Tom,

With that kind of igloo, at or near the surface, I'd be returning tomorrow with a bigger shovel. There's great glass down below! That last in situ looks tantalizingly beckoning...

Looks like a good site there, CTX Tom, Looks like it may have been inhabited till very early 1900's, or maybe late 1800s. It will become
more apparent after a bit more artifacts are dug up. I have the same iron as you found, but no handle.
