I mean,, if this deep discussion and mind exploration thread did not exist,, we would be left posting 'out there' with the 'others' ..... Imagine we would have to use terms like 'ground balancing', 'recovery speed' and 'sensitivity settings'...... think about that for a minute ............. just long enough to select Park Mode 2( notched out to 15) noise cancel and set auto ground balance, sensitivity 21 and perhaps a wee fiddle with some useless FE settings... wow..

You said ground balancing...and sensitivity 21....I love it when you talk in detectorist...sorry, I couldn't help myself....I did enjoy the "detectorists" series immensely, especially the jargon at their meetings...we don't deserve flyadive!
