California gets tornadoes....not trying to burst your bubble or anything....less than Michigan but ours aren't like the states below us. Only 1 poison snake and it is pretty rare and only 1 poison spider which is really rare (I've only seen 1 poisonous snake and no spiders.)

Tornados I can deal with, they are here then gone, category 2-5 hurricanes with tropical storm winds of 40 to 75 mph for 6-8 hours followed by hurricane force winds of 110-150+ mph for 8-12+ hours then back to tropical force winds of 40-75 mph for another 6-8 hours is nerve racking.
