I took a two hour ride to Florida to look at an $85.00 architect's cabinet with 6 drawers. I planned on making an artifact display with it. However, when I got there the thing left a lot to be deserved. The owner even said I could have it for $50.00 but it just wasn't what I wanted. The owner then said she had another one inside but it was more money. I wish I had never walked through the door because when I saw this one I had to have it. It is a solid oak 3 section unit with five drawers in each section. I had to pay a good bit more for it and it will need to be refinished but I can handle that. She even threw in a big box of flint chips that ha a few crude tools, one broke point and one whole one. I am now accepting donations to put in it!:laughing7:

Very nice cabinet. I've seen more good antiques in FL than anywhere else. People with money (and antiques) retire to FL then eventually pass. The kids come down and sell everything locally. The stuff is there for sure.

Nice cabinet! That's going to hold a lot of goodies~

I like the drawers best especially for artifacts. You can kinda organize your finds and you can pull them out to look at.
That thing is very nice!

The one I went to look at was $85.00.This one was about 4 times that price.
Still to find a great artifact cabinet isn't an everyday thing.
Money well spent as you already had a two drive under the belt.
Now it's time to fill the first drawer and to show it off-thank you very much.:hello2:

I have to do some work to it first. The top needs to be refinished and the whole thing needs a good cleaning.

FF1, that is one, or should I say 3 beautiful cabinets. That will work great for displaying and showing your relics. Oakwood is such a pretty and durable wood. Hey....if you need a place to store some of your relic collection while you refinish these......lol. Let us see some before and after pics when your finished. Congrat's to you on a very nice display that will help to enhance your collection. That was well worth the drive to Florida.

You’re taking donations for the cabinet?
What a coincidence , I’m taking kruggerand donations to go in my pocket!

Beautiful cabinet.

That's a great looking cabinet. I would have bought that in a heartbeat.

That is a gorgeous antique!
