Hey guys,

I just got a Nikon D5000 with a 150mm Macro lens that cost as much as the camera. Here's some pictures I took of a small bit of my collection.

Fantastic pics, cool coins. I wonder how a 2006 silver Eagle gets toned like that in just a few years?

Awesome lens!
I have a nice DSLR also (Cannon XSi) but no Macro lens. I'd love to have one, but they are $$$. Those are some beautiful coins and you took great pictures of them!
I too have some toning Silver Eagles, I bought 20 in 1989, so they have had a while to tone. That '06 did tone awfully fast.

Thanks, a year in a Taco bell napkin will do that to pure silver. :D

Just looking at the pic's, I'd say the cost of the lens was worth it. Nice ones!

Thanks! Looking back, these pictures honestly aren't that great....I've gotten better at taking them, AND at editing them! Check it out!

Excellent pictures and the toned Eagles are beautiful. I bought a Nikon D200 a while back and couldn't decide between a macro lens and a stabilized zoom. Went with the zoom and have had it out of its case twice. After seeing those pictures I am now sure I made the wrong choice....
