I took my brand new Etrac out to one of fav hunted out sites today and
my best find was laying on the ground. I did have a blast trying to learn the etrac, it's
so much to take in but I feel good about the machine.

It's a great machine! Keep working it. It will click one day!

a good way ta learn it is go to a clad littered park or school, you'll learn the good tones and VDI numbers in no time, the etrac emulator is also a great learning tool

I don't really agree with that. A littered place will give a newbie audio overload. Try a less trashy area and listen for good solid repeatable hits. Areas with lots of targets are hard to detect. You have to have a trained ear to pick thru it all. Or a small sun ray X-5. lol

i would think that you would want to go to a place with a lot of clad but not to trashy so you can learn the sounds dennis
