New Excaliber II for $700?

Looks like a scam within a scam to me. They most likely don't have any detectors, counterfeit or real. The two big red flags to me are they are using a throwaway email addy (gmail) with an anglo name no less and they want you to send payment via moneygram.

It's hard for any manufacturer to stop the Chinese because it's part of their culture. A friend of mine who travels over there on business says that in many cases a standard practice exists of sending authentic products "out the back door" of legit factories. I'd think that's even harder to stop. Plus it gives the black market easy access to products to reverse engineer.

I asked this "manufacturer" to provide me with a serial number of one of the units to run by Minelab and here is there response:

Due to security reasons and bad past experience, we do not send any confidential details about our product online to first time buyers..
I have a suitable method that matches what you want..
Its like these:
Send the money via Money gram to our details, send us the receipt hiding the reference payment code which makes it impossible for the payment to be tampered with, immediately we see the slip,we will send you the phones and as soon as you receive them in your hands, then you give us the code and we pick up money..
Now i know you feel secured, lets proceed, send your delivery address
