All Treasure Hunting
The general plan was to stick in the trashy area we found last week, as I felt something good must be hiding there. I was right but it was in terrible condition:
Saxon Penny of Edward the Confessor 1050-53

After lunch we decided to grid the Bronze Age Barrow & then try a new field. Nothing around the barrow (now totally ploughed out), & nothing in the long large field. At least the search is narrowing but lots more fields to try. (5 hours 15 minutes)

1 Scrappy
1 Jetton
1 Royal Farthing (1620s)
Northampton Corporation Tramway Button 1904-34 (another one I need)
2 Good Buckles
2 18th C Clog Clasps
GW Clarke Oundle Watch Winder - Staffurth  Clarke and the Oundle Businesses
A very cool Heart shaped Tudor (16th C) Clothes Fastener, missing its hook - never seen this type.

Neat finds today! The Saxon Penny is a beautiful coin. Next time you get a complete one! Looks like you have you miniature week. The roman axe yesterday, today the rifle part and a wulfhead... where comes that blue pearl from? Possibly roman?

I think its a fox head.

The black bead & blue bead are circa 1900 I believe. We found out the area we have been doing is next to the Villiage dump & was an allottment as well.

Truly nice finds, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

It was a lot of trash digging/stick boots/spade & a couple of miles walking, I nearly fell asleep in the car.

We will have a change of scene today.

Again Crusader you bring in the nice finds but today something different, a bottle stopper, looks like it is from a medicine or a perfume bottle. I love finding bottles and get allot of them diving but the stoppers are usually down in the silt where we can't find them. Great finds Gru:occasion14:

Thanks, I added it to the collection:
