It's a tiny cuff button that reminds me of a Hibernia. It has what looks like an angel on the front of a harp. Any input as to an ID would be greatly appreciated. I also found a 50 calibur and a 69 caliber musket balls. Forgot to take a pic and gave them to the new farmers kids when i was showing them my finds.
Enjoy the pix

Could be the Irish Regiment?? I will go dig out a button....

OK, it was the Irish Brigade I was thinking about & I think it at least needs a Crown over the Harp to make it Military. So unless, others chime in, I'm going with Civvy Irish theme.(Specially with the clover boarders)

Nice finds. Love the button.

Thanks Cru, She is in sad shape, the field I was in is heavy with fertilizer I'm thinking. I put her in distilled water and just pulled her out for a look. I can see originally she was plated with hints of shiny wash still on her front. I was also looking with a loop, there are backmarks barely legable. Sometimes, as with this button I wish I could of saved her while she was still intact. I'm betting she was a real looker.

Congrats on some nice finds
Thanks Art

Nice finds. Love the button.
Thanks, I'm going to take some close closeups, then try a hot oil bath for maybe an ID of the backmarks.

You must have hunted close to the area where Jim T found this button a couple years ago. Never got an official ID so maybe Cru is correct on it being civilian.

Congratualtions on the nice coins and relic hunt! The button is very cool. :occasion14:

Dang Brad you are exploiting those fields now aren't you? I need to go east, there are better field finds than in my area of Ohio.

I still want to come out your way, Maybe before you guys come out here?

Cool button. Made me think of the one Ironhorse dug last year. No ID for it either.

Sweet hunt,,
Congrats on the IHP and the Merc.
Good luck with the I.D. on the button.
I'm sure one of the Tnet button experts will nail it.

As it has a Crown over it, I'm thinking that one is the Irish Brigade.

You nailed it Cru along with Don from jump street (as they say in Philadelphia)
Iron Patch I was going to say that was the button Cru was originally referring to, that one of Ironhorse's is military cool. This hobby is so interesting as to how "it's a small world after all" I'm going back to that farm today, I was looking at the old maps again. It's been raining cats and dogs for two days, I'm thinking it should be a productive hunt.
Thank you all for your replies.

well done Brad!

Best of luck to you.
