new field yields cw items and spanish silver!!

[diggervet]

Got permission recently to hunt a big field up the road from my house. Diggervet Jr. and I spent a couple hours there over the weekend and at first I thought we were too late. Saw a few guys hunting a week or so ago and we didn't find much at first. I did end up with a few three ringers, the end of a spur, and a J hook. DV jr. got the best find with a 1777 Spanish reale and a few bullets of his own. This is the first coin he found in over a year, so he caught up quickly. We'll be going back soon! The large item at the bottom of the group is a schenkel shell base that I found at another site.

Great Finds no doubt. I'd love to get in a patch of three ringers. Hey, what is the square piece on the right side of the pic? I've found a couple things that look like it here in TN at sites where we've turned up civil war relics.
