I went back to the site I had success with on Sunday. The weather was much nicer but the finds were fewer.Found a couple of hafted scrapers though.
I found the points in the following picture at this site last year.
The artifacts in the following photo were found last year as well at the same site. The material is Pipe Creek Chert. I find it to be a very attractive material, very colorful for this area of Ohio where Flint ridge flint can be seldom seen.(at least by me!)
The following are hafted scrapers from the site, this years and last years.
The site is very productive and has given me many preforms and also busted knives to try to piece together.Hardstone tools have been hard to come by,mostly pitted stones, a busted celt and some hammers.
