New finds… the coin or button has the words Super Fine from what I can tell. The face and other corroded items appear to be cast iron. All found around old home site.

The coin/button looks like it might be a shotgun shell headstamp.

I'm not sure of a shotgun shell with "Superfine" on it, but I have heard and seen old buttons with that as part of the back marks.

That could be. Just the concentric rings and the center corrosion look like a lot of head stamps I’ve found. I must admit I haven’t seen superfine on one though.

Almost all old buttons had concentric rings on the back and many had a steel/wire loop for attactment.

Some think it’s a garment hook but I’ve heard some add port of riding tack for a horse. 🤷‍♂️
