Howdy Treasure Net,

Geologist from Kentucky. I love to rock hunt. Hunting since I was little. I goto many mine sites, streams and outcrops to find raw specimens. I have panned for gold in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. I have had the best luck in Georgia. Just starting to get into metal detecting. I'm sure I will be asking numerous questions on the subject of metal detecting. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you all in advanced and if you all have any questions just ask. By The Way.... If anyone can give me some advice on a top of the line metal detector that is mainly for coins, relics and other man made valuables would be greatly appreciated. Not a gold detector. But if it could detect gold that would be a plus. I just want a really good metal detector that I don't have to go and upgrade in the future. Any and all advice will be appreciated. Thank You.

I'm from Corbin, but live in Glasgow. I travel the state quite frequently. So I'm hardly ever in one place very long. I love Kentucky. I noticed that your florist. My family has owned and operated a flower shop since the early 50s in Corbin. I would be 3rd generation florist but became a geologist. What flower shop are you at in Louisville?

Hello everyone!

I too am from Louisville, KY. I just bought my used MD about 3 weeks ago. So far I need to dig up $119.70 more to break even (not counting the nail and jean button).

I am open to organizing digs if possible. My dad has a MD also and lives in Lexington. I'm looking forward to learning the hobby from this sight and everyone on here!

Unfortunately our shop closed after Valentines Day. I worked at Pinottis Flower Market on Bardstown Rd in The Highlands. The landlord raised the rent so we had to vacate and look for a more reasonable rental. An organized hunt would be awesome. Maybe someone might know a gracious land owner who would let us detect on their property?
