You could always go to a local coin shop and see if they'll test it for you. I'm not sure what to make of it myself. It does resemble a spoon I had found which was silver plated though...

Welcome to T-Net. Is that spoon marked, if it is silver it should say sterling, if it has a makers name it can be traced on the web for more info. I have saw stories on the web over the years about dogs digging up cool relics.
 

Welcome! Clean the dirt off the back to look for markings. You can use soapy water and an old toothbrush.
