Hi all,
Just joined and just started hunting with my new Garret ACE 350. Quick story; researched where a Confederate camp had been located not far from my home. Next to the site was a modest home with Confederate flag flying and a sign that said "trespassers will be shot". Since I didn't know who owned the camp site property, I rang the bell and inquired to the woman answering the door. She said, "you do metal detecting?" I said yes. She got all excited, brought me - a total stranger into her house - showed me her detector and proceeded to bring out box after box of civil war relics she found on her own property. Now she's a friend and welcomes my visits. Found the blade of a sword, and an old shotgun shell so far.
Lots of questions to follow.
