Is it to small for your hand ? We're almost neighbors, btw.

There are many options for changing the hand grip to something you'd like better. It's getting the old one off that would be hard without ruining it, so make sure you are going to like the new one.

sgratrider- Where abouts do you life? I would love to go detecting with a buddy

Sandman: I've never seen these listed. Do people just use bicycle grips?

in the spring grove area

I have heard that some people use replacment tennis racket grips and have had great luck with those,I ordered a new grip for my vaquero , the one that came with my unit was very thin, got a new one and it was nice and thick, like it should be!!!
:headbang:
hope that helps,,,

Hey guys,
I just bought a silver umax and I totally love it! However, the grip is a little less than ergonomic for my liking. Can anyone suggest a different grip that would work? After a while it gives my hand a cramp .

Thanks! :icon_thumright:

The grip on my Silver is not bad. I didn't like the grip on my Eldorado and replaced it with a bicycle grip found at
Canadian Tire. It's similar to those found on Detectorpro and others. This is my perfect grip. I use the same one on
my White's PI.

I have a picture of the mod at my website:

I think my issue is with how long the cuff is. Maybe I can find some sort of extender. My arms are pretty long.

I just changed my whole shaft ;D

Can you tell me where you got that shaft? I think that's my problem

I made it, bought the tube from Aircraft Spruce or something like that out of Georgia and bought a 60 degree rail bracket for a boat for the handle/control box and put a bend on it. Real easy to do drill a few holes and buy or make a stand, made mine and use your old arm cuff or buy or make another one, whites sells them from their website. You can buy the whole setup for 92 bucks from Rods by Plugger. Parts cost me less than 30 bucks.
