New here, a few questions

Hello, I am new to this forum and had a few questions.

1. Is there places that will buy the silver halves, quarters, dimes ect. for their silver value?

2. If so what do they pay?

3. I have heard of hoarding copper pennies(pre-1982) is this worthwhile?

4. When roll hunting what are some common mistakes to look for?

Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Any coin shop will but silver coins for their melt value, sometimes more depending on condition and rarity. I dunno what they are paying now, but awhile ago it was 4-6x face.

It'd take a lot of hoarding and sorting to make copper worthwhile, maybe more trouble than its worth. I'm pretty sure 100 cents are worth more than a buck these days, pre 1982.

Pick up a copy of the Red Book at your coin shop to look for the mistrikes. halves you want anything 1970 or before, quarters and dimes anything 1964 or before.
