Hi everyone ! I live in SW Florida on the gulf coast- recently I have been finding TONS of stuff on my property while digging and I am not sure which are artifacts, tools, or fossils.. I live near a creek so I think my house may have been put on a native camp site. My tree also has several carvings. The rocks and shells caught my attention first since many of them are not typically found in Florida :) any help would be appreciated! I have so many things I'm not sure I can possibly post them all. TIA! I'm also wondering how to identify arrowheads? I have a lot of quartz that seems to be shaped into points but I am new to all of this! Thanks again❤️ _MG_5122.webp_MG_5072.webp_MG_5189.webp_MG_5190.webp_MG_5052.webp_MG_5110.webp_MG_5230.webp_MG_5166.webp_MG_5204.webp_MG_5146.webp

While you have a lot of rocks, these are either natural (just about all of them) with perhaps a fossil included. The round objects are concretions. These are common finds but naturally occurring.

Btw-Florida sits on a treasure trove of fossil shells-as the state used to be submerged. Head to the sw coast such as Venice to find shark teeth.

I've found a few fossilized shells, coral, and teeth... I'm right by Venice;)_MG_5093.webpIMG_7657.webpIMG_7627.webpIMG_7618.webp

I have a ton more rocks and I've never seen anything like them before in Florida.. it's quite a mix and it has me quite I'm thinking that the Creek near my house was once running through my yard.. they have found sites all along the Creek so I'm wondering if maybe some things were also dropped here?

Florida has a long history. Above and below sea levels many times. What you are finding is common. Look at some of the road fill and walking trails-all shells. That's just Florida landscape.

Doubt they were dropped there by man. Likely moved by an ancient creek or deposited when Florida rose above sea level. There are a lot of Florida books out there that may help....

Those are not artifacts. They all look 100% natural to me and mostly Quartz Cobbles, Concretions, and Fossils.

IMG_7666.webpIMG_7667.webp any ideas about these? Maybe just some stuff of nails but some look different ;)

What about the shell with the glitter man head on it? Any thoughts ? That one puzzles me :) sorry I attached the wrong picture IMG_7620.webpIMG_7620.webp

Top two look like nuts of some kind. Bottom left like a dresser knob or both maybe buttons...to me anyway.
