We spent 2.5 hours searching 2 new fields. Research had lead us to 1 of the fields & the next door one just looked very promising. 3 guys had done this farm for a few days & gave up saying there was nothing about.
Within 30 minutes we had sniffed out our 1st Roman Coin, & I was in amounst pottery, lead & nails. We gridded this area but only came up with the following finds:

2 Roman Coins
18th C SILVER Clog Clasp
Snake Buckle (20th C I think)
Nice large Tudor Acorn Terminal Strapend
Dad got a large 14th C Gilt Horse Boss/Decor - Nice high status item!

Although we will go back to this field sometime, the other good looking field was a bust!

After lunch we spent 2 hours on a Roman Metal Working Site. It was pretty rough going on the lumpy jigged up soil, so we will leave this site for now.
However, my first dig was a Celtic Bronze Coin circa 15-10BC! My second Bronze Celtic this year.

4 Roman Coins
Scraps of Bronze from the Metal Working Process

Nice finds cru . I love that snake buckle.
I may not always respond, but your finds never cease to amaze me...

Y'all still got some cool Items, (Of course I never would have known what most of them were).
The Newer Snake Piece would have made my day.

Davers

It always amaze me how do you ID celtic bronzes. I have a hard time just to ID them celtic.... :notworthy:

Roman Coin Pictures added.

Stellar finds, and I really like the 14th century horse boss!

Wow! You find some amazing relics over there!!! I think I've found something old being from the 1700's and y'all are digging BC relics! Just WOW! Always enjoy your posts. Congrats on your finds. I really like that snake buckle too!
