Hi guys,

just thought I'd share my excitement about my new magnets, ten of these happy little buggers just arrived.

I'm going to rig them up in a row to clean out a sort-of-wishing-well-canal this weekend, I would be surprised if I didn't get the money back I spent on them :)

Does a magnet pick up your coins? None of ours stick to a magnet.

Yes, 1,2&5 cents are highly magnetic, hard to get them off. 1&2€ coins are slightly magnetic. Our plan is to first clean out all the magnetic coins and then if we still have time left I will go in with the AT Pro and find all the more valuable coins.

We can't magnet fish on ground. You're lucky have a good time my friend.

Thanks, I figure it will be a well-paying adventure :)

Well then, I learned something new.

My US coins don't stick to a magnet.

Most of my Canadian, Middle East, Euro stuff does.

Huh- but not my 10C euro, or a couple of my Iraqi coins.

I'd go broke(er) in the US magnet fishing a wishing well...

Best of luck to you!

Good luck, but your about to discover how much iron there is all around you! Hopefully you aren't living in a highly mineralized part of your country.

I was wondering about that title, when I saw it earlier. :icon_scratch:
Our coins don't stick! :BangHead: dang it...... :laughing7:

However, I am a Zimbawian millionaire..... if I could just find that note..... :icon_scratch:
I know it's here somewhere..... I probably been using for a bookmark. :laughing7:

Good luck with your dirtfishing!

I guess all of your vending machines are set up differently as well. In the US
if I remember correctly, one of the things vending machines use to detect slugs is a magnet

We used to pound nickels into quarters when we were young :)

Yes, the 10,20 and 50 cent coins aren't magnetic, that's why I want to take the AT Pro in there.

We've been to the same place a couple of times now, astonishingly little iron trash in there. It's a city canal so normally we find all kinds of weird stuff there.
