New member here...very new to artifact hunting. Always been a fanatic of history but only recently started looking for it, rather than reading about it. Currently live in Raleigh Co, WV. I'm just looking to see if anyone could give me a clearer answer to if I have found perhaps a preform or broken blade...or if I'm posting about a random naturally formed rock.

Found in western Greenbrier Co., WV.
Found in a flat approx 100yds above water source.
No clue as to the type of stone.
Not translucent.
Shiny, light gray color.
Sorry if my info isn't helpful...very new to this.

What do you think?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard mw44! Take a look at Forum: West Virginia for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.
