New Member From Florida (St Petersburg)

Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker for a while, but finally decided to join after reading up on local laws regulating metal detecting in city parks (St. Petersburg, FL) hoping to get some insight. Confusing.
I use a Fisher 1266x and love it on the dry sand of the beach. I have not had much experience with it on dirt with any minerals, but I hope to very soon. I'm originally from KY, but I never bothered to get my old detector out of the attic and use it up there, regretfully. I've never found ANY gold, but lots of silver! I'm "dying" to find a single piece. Even an earring back in 14k would be awesome!
If anyone is from Tampa-St. Petersburg FL and wants to get out a bit, or has any secret spots they wanna give up, please let me know. :-)
