Hello everyone! Just thought I would give a little intro here. I thought I had signed up previously, like years ago, but could not log in, so I joined or rejoined today. I am an avid metal detectorist into coin/jewelry/relic/artifact hunting on land, including CW and Rev War relics/artifacts. I detect mostly in MD, VA, PA, WV areas here in the USA but also go detecting in England about every other year since my first trip over in 1996. I am preparing for my 10th trip to England this September, 2012, along with three friends. I am presently the President of a MDing club home based in the Baltimore, MD area known as M.A.R.S. (MD Artifact Recovery Society). I have been detecting since the early 80's and really love this hobby. I still get excited when I find a piece of 90% silver coinage, and sometimes even when I find an old wheat back penny!! 
If there are any other members on here who are in the Baltimore area or in other areas of MD, let me know who you are. I suspect there may also be other members of MARS who post/view here as well. My avatar picture is a Henry VIII Groat hammered silver coin that I found some years ago in England.
