Have been prospecting for several years, however this is the first time at metal detecting. Hope to learn the ins and outs and become familiar with the Fisher Gold Bug. (first detector). Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to find some nice spots there in Wyoming. When I lived in Big Piney/Green River everything was pretty much open to detecting(other than state parks/historical sites). That still left a lot of old foundations and stuff out in the desert.
