Thank you all for the nice comments! I'll be going out to the local park sometime next week with my husband (seger98) to try it out, I'll let ya know what I find. Yes the Ace is my first detector, seems like a really nice unit......

OK, i am to lazy to look at your husbands profile....are you getting into this hobby because of him? Or is it something you both just took up? Not that it matters...But couples with the same common interest....have a tendency to last.. ...I will look for post from both of you....Steve

Yes Steve, I got into detecting bcause of my husband. I go along with him most times anyway (unless it's raining, snowing, or below 50 degrees) he's a real die hard, hates to hang it up for the winter. Glad we can still get out and detect a bit here in AZ for a few more months before heading back to our old stomping grounds in WI. I give him major credit for being so dedicated! I know I won't put in half as many hours as he will, but at least we can share that time together
