Hello all, I'm Phil. I live in the central valley California. Retired about 6 or 7 months ago. I picked up the prospecting bug a bit ago. I got a nice 4 ft. sluice and a couple of pans and classifier. I have been to Briceburg, Ca off of 140 on the way to Yosemite. I have been there 3 times and checking bed rock cracks and crevices. Nothing. ok not quite 5 microscopic tiny specks. It's almost like someone has been through there with a fine tooth comb fancy expensive metal detector. Any comments, please.
thanks

Possibly try somewhere harder to get to? I have never been but I’d assume if it’s easy to get to or well known it’s well worked. Your luck will turn keep hunting and you should pick up a lot of tips and tricks being on here.

Welcome aboard! Best of luck with the new gear.

I heard California still has a lot of gold, I think if you keep at it, and are determined, you will find the mother load.

Thanks all, I have only been 3 times. All of the spots I checked out there was none. I will keep at it.
Thanks again for the greet.
