firefighter35 · Mar 17, 2012

Hey guys, i went to a buddy of mines old house to detect. He has been on me for months to come down n search n the weather today was awesome!!! Found 10 wheats from 1918-42, silver rosy and an indian head penny. 1864 to be exact. Now last year i found an 1864L and well, found my second one!!! I brought it home n washed it off and low and behold, Its an L on the ribbon!!! Im super excited!!! Sorry about poor pic qualities.

After farther rinsing and closely looking at this coin, It appears to be double die on 18 and around the writing on the edge of the coin!!! Anyone know what snow variety this would be? And shall i send it to get graded?

Well i took the plunge and place the coin on ebay. Idk why i did it but i did, lol just search for 1864L and you should see mine come up just incase anyone out there wants to bid on it. Its set to go off this coming saturday and i started the auction at 99 cents and today it went up to 31 bucks already!!! :blob7:
