Good evening everyone. Been having problems uploading my pics so I had to do it through my laptop which was a little time consuming. . Found a new place in the little town where my Grandmother grew up at. I actually obtained permission to hunt where she lived in the 1920's. My great, great grandfather here came here from Indiana lived there at one time. Then my Grandmother and Grandfather. I will post some pictures of the place later as I didn't have my camera that day. I do usually post pics of my finds because it makes it more interesting to the viewer like you. I'll have to clean the coins too. Sorry but been real busy lately. The first signal in the front yard was a 1905 Indian. Then I found my first marble. Then another Indian, a 1909. Found 10 wheat's, the oldest a 1914, 1917, some 20's, 30's and 1944 being the newest. I found 2 unique tokens which I am very happy for because one of them is a local token. This town didn't have much of a population through out history and only has about 300 some inhabitants today. The first token is brass and reads: Columbus Confection Co. On the back it reads: Accepted subject to restrictions. The other token reads: Good for 5 cents in merchandice. On the other side it reads: Mons place, Woodstock Ohio. Found an old key that is 5 inches long, a hot wheels Nissan 240Z car, a Uncle Sam play quarter from 1958, 3 shotgun shell brass bottoms. One is UMC Co. Nitro, a Peters Repeater, and a Federal cartridge. Found a 1945 Merc, a handfull of clad (a couple of dollars worth). Found a pocket watch face.....Age?? All in all I had a good hunt on a nice spring day. Was happy to be out and not digging frozen ground. Thanks for looking and have a happy hunting day........if you get out :icon_sunny: Ron Smith

Those are some nice finds, and just thinking that your elders may have lost them makes it even nicer. Ya got to love those old finds. I have yet to find a token from my area but I am always hoping.

That IH is in great condition.

i always give my marbles to my sons.......they love the little boogers. Great hunt

When I was growing up I had thousands of marbles all the time. Where did they all go?? I want to hunt my old growing up place. I just have to ask the owner who lives there now.

Nice hunt CJH! Good luck detecting your childhood home. HH, Mike
