Nope looks homemade, tf your going to use it in the surf you might want to weld a cover over top to keep from losing target before it is retrieved. IMO the design not very good as there are no holes on side and bottom is small so slow to drain.

YEA , I think I'm gonna have to modify it a bit . But for money I couldn't pass it up. also might get rid of the wood handle , go to a medium gage metal handle ... But I also need to keep the weight down too.

like treasurer hunter said: U NEED TO ADD A TOP

and if it weights a pound or two more than the sunspot, what little difference will the top make. U are talking major lift here now, even before the wet sand.

keep us advised

price was good

The wooden handle will float and that makes it stand up in water if you let go or drop it by accident, that is an advantage. My scoop handle is metal, i use a noodle, I inserted the handle inside the noodle to get it to stand up in surf.

An all white noodle keeps it from staining your shirt and makes it very comfortable when carrying it on your shoulder.

I woulda bought it.

Man that is a real monster. But the price was ok . You might try an aluminum handle. I have one on my Sunspot and it stays in the upright position next to me. No problem in the water at all. Your,s, has one good feature you won,t ever have to go to the gym. ::) Mike.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT ..... iTS A TAD HEAVY :o

Interesting. I saw that same scoop on EBay a few days back and considered bidding on it myself. Decided to get the Stealth instead. I know, it's a very big price difference, but the Stealth came in today and is quite impressive looking. It'll be a few months before I can try it out here in Maine. Guzz, are you unhappy with the Stealth you bought?

NO , IM VERY HAPPY WITH IT ,And you gonna like yours too.. They move alot of sand in a short amount of time. Sometimes I like to use a smaller scoop for convenience. I think I'll use the sunspot more this summer as I venture into the deeper water . You made a great choice on the sunspot , good luck. Guzz1

THIS SCOOP NEEDS SOME HEAVY DUTY MODIFICATIONS DONE TO IT . I TRIED IT OVER THE WEEKEND . SLOW DRAIN NOT ENOUGH HOLES . REALLY HEAVY . NEED CHANGE OUT THE HANDLE.POSSIBLY , ALUMINUM WOULD WORK. I"LL keep working on it ...Guzz1
