Decided to check out a site really close to my home that I’ve seen on a couple different maps and aerials, but it is directly under a high voltage power line.

I fired up the Nox with my standard settings and noise canceled, ran smooth and quiet. First signal.

I think this is a WW1-WW2 general service button.
Next hole, silver coin sounding high tone.

I think the stamp is “COIN”, as in coin silver, almost looks like a crest on the front, hand made.
Then a bunch of wheats, and a silver quarter tone.

This is heavy brass, military, anyone recognize this?
A fairly large silver plated religious pin, maybe for a hat?

And lastly I just about walked right over this 4-5’ snake because my focus was looking for a site in the woods.

Nice finds! I would love to know more about that silver ring. I found a nearly identical ring here in Mass a few years ago. Mine had initials on the crest and no stamp on the inside, but otherwise the same. I would love to know how old they are. Congrats on some great finds.

Has the shield shape, hand carved and stamped Coin silver. The ad states Victorian Era with an estimated date of 1870. Might be in the ballpark.

Awesome finds Thad. You've been killing it out there lately! Save some for us locals, eh? Lol....congrats.

John... notice that I could only find one Merc ... that you must have missed... thx man! The Nox is really speaking to me now, finding a virgin site helps a little...

Awesome site you found & some great recoveries, Great guard & pin, congrats on all the saves

Yuo have got to be kidding me those finds are freaking awesome all in one spot one hunt I dont ever see having a day that good. Great jobThanks for sharing.

Hear ya bro.
Those days are rare around here also.

Love the Snake . & The Eagle Brass piece , Silver pin .............

You had a good day. Congrats on all the saves especially the sword guard.

Nice job on the new site Thad. That sword guard is a killer relic. The sword must have been an old keepsake that eventually wasn't that important any more and ended up broken and in the dirt. It is considerably older than the rest of the stuff, although the coin silver ring might be close.

I totally agree. IMHO
