🔎 UNIDENTIFIED New thoughts on old piece

I posted about this a few years ago and nothing conclusive. Found almost 30 years ago in the mud along a ditch in Lincoln co KY. Curious about other thoughts. Before the old arrowheads forum was sold, I was in contact with British archaeologist who said it was an extremely rare natural formation, of which he had seen only half a dozen in his entire career. Some found as far as Europe and Russia. It is mildly magnetic. Just curious for some new thoughts. ty

I don't believe these are the same, as that only bares a superficial resemblance. The material of mine is definitely not quartz.

If it reacts mildly to a magnet- iron of low/unknown percentage.

From here it looks like an iron concretion/nodule.
I've found quite a few that are almost perfectly round.
Some people call them Moqui marbles.
Also a few flat ones that are hematite and were sitting on the top of the ground already shiny and polished.

Small ones are usually solid.
The bigger odd-shaped ones are almost always hollow.
