New to detecting in El Paso ,Texas

Also found this old military button in my backyard! Anyone have any ideas where I can get info for it?

Hi STH69 - I'm in Houston so can't be much help, but you may want to try joining some of the local detecting clubs in your area. Otherwise, you can hunt parks, schools, woods, etc., but just make sure you check the rules and make sure it is legal.

Thanks for the reply I checked out the clubs, closest one is six hours away,lol.

You could post the button in the What Is It? forum. There are books available that some folks refer to, but I don't have the titles...

Your going to love this place. Full of great folks and knowledge. I agree put it on the What Is It forum, also.... they got a forum dedicated to military buttons. Maybe some one can hone in on that beauty. HH
