New to detecting

Hi everyone,

I am Mike , from San Diego and I just ordered my first detector. I will be in the parks and beaches... but mostly I want to go for the nuggets up in the mountains.. I will go up near banner canyon and go way into the hills from there...I like to go camping so I will spend weeks at a time alone up there. I plan to go to the hard to reach places in hopes that others have never been there. Any tips
