All Treasure Hunting
well after about a year of lurking on this forum and a few requests for advice on which detector to buy i am now a "beach hunter". i ended up getting a cz20 at a very, very good price. picked it up on my way to daytona and used it some(not nearly as much as i wanted to). i must say detecting in the water is very peacefull and i am hooked!!! only found clad because i hunted in presets and latter found out i was discing out the good stuff.
i finally sold my house here in ohio and have allways wanted to move to florida soooooo...since i am no longer employed here (layed off after 20 years) i am looking to move to florida, most likely west coast about 25 mins from tampa. hope to meet alot of you soon.below is a pic of me in the daytona surf.

Man, that was a calm day. Great for the MD but lousy for surfing....lol. Welcome to T-Net.

Welcome to TN and Florida.

Study up on the 'laws' and then study up on the local history.

There is plenty of treasure in the sunshine state.

Good Luck

Hello Chuck, must have been one of the rare calm days when you were at Daytona, thats not normal surf ..........LOL... Normal Daytona surf is breaking over your shoulders..... ;D

There are bad areas in any town, you find a town that has no bad areas, let me know and I will move there myself.

I use to live in Marion Ohio, use to drive to Columbus, High Street, across from the university to party. I was young and single then.

Good luck on the moving and the hunting, maybe I will run into you some time.

I live in North Florida, a smallish town(10k ppl) And it is rampant with drug use , and murders...and thieves...but, so is everywhere else, so what to do?

I only have 2 things to say about moving here 1) Belleair Bluffs, not as expensive as Belleair but still nice and 2) Private School, I won't get started about the public edumacation system (though I will explain if you want to PM). Good Luck.
