Hello all!

I am new to the hobby and have a chance to buy a Used Silver Sabre Plus at a decent price. Can anyone tell me if this is a good unit and good for a beginner? From the picture I did not see a headphone jack and I am a little hard of hearing. Can one be added?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely

Jim

Welcome to T Net! I have a different detector, but There are people on here who can help you with the info. HH!!

Hello and welcome! I have a Tesoro Cortez, and love it. Terry Soloman is the Tesoro "guru". He has many informative vids on YouTube and many posts/threads here. Please view them. Peace

It is a good machine. It has a 1/4 plug for a head phone. Easy to use and is a good machine to start with. You will learn the beeps in no time. My neighbor still hunts with one and he does well. He wears a hearing aid. Depending upon how much they want for it you might be able to buy a new tesoro. All of them have life time warranties……

This is a great place to learn from others. A lot of collective knowledge here......Tesoro makes a fine metal detector. Welcome to an awesome hobby:hello:

Tesoro Silver Sabre Plus is a legend. It is a good detector to come into the hobby with. It is very easy to use and will find plenty. It's worth a hundred if in good shape.

Hello and welcome. My compadre is a coin magnet and just ordered a silver umax.Tesoro makes some awesome md's.

Silver Sabre not a good wet salt beach machine. But for land, is ok. Not as deep-seeking as some power house machines out there today. And lacks whizz-bang TID features. But excells at separating out iron from conductors. Like if your were ghost town hunting, for instance. So while it has its place in the arsenal, it will get its b*tt kicked in plenty of other arenas.
