New to MD from /Texas

I am new to MD and am just getting started. My new detector will be delivered today and I am looking forward to using it at the beach this weekend.

Hopefully I will not be digging to many tab tops or other junk. However, that is probably a good way to learn the unit.

Welcome mrbennie & good luck with your Racer! You will dig aluminum can slaw - pull tabs - square tabs - bottle caps & rusty nails hard to get around most of it. Best of luck dirt fishing and many great finds.

I'm in the Clear Lake area; just bought my first MD as well. Are there any clubs in this area? Can anyone recommend any good places to hunt?
