New to metal detecting

I am new to metal detecting. I have been interested in this hobby for about a year, but just recently purchased a garret ace 350. Only been out like 3 times and I am totally hooked... Would very much consider any advice y'all had to offer. Happy hunting.....

Welcome from White Plains, New York! You have a great machine. The main thing to try and do, is learn something about your machine every time you go out. Think about what you are hearing, and what the target actually is. How deep was it? Keep track, and train your ears to learn the language of your machine. Good Luck and Big Gold!

Thanks y'all.. I have learned a lot from this site. You all have great advice and are very helpful so I just wanted to take this time to thank all of y'all. I've been kinda busy lately with work but I finally get a holiday.. So it's off to find the old homestead tomorrow... And maybe new spots to look.
