New to Rock Hounding

Hello! I decided to create an account here in order to help myself identify rocks I have found. I am very new to rock hounding so I know nothing about the accurate identification of the most basic rocks (like quartz... or is it quartz?). It is my goal to become more proficient in rock identification and geology. I hope you guys can help me out!
