if your son has any questions just post them on this forum,
'that nukes in advance' not sure what you mean by this? get a good book on coins and make sure he learns the correct terminology for each one and key dates. simply because there is so much information i cannot eee-la-bor-rate. believe it or not dawg, wikipedia is a good source for learning what years what coins were made, i suggest you start there and just browse the US coin articles. you's son will learn alot o'things on da side to, like the free silver-movement. welcome to the site by the way, its a good place to be.

I think there is a good mix on Tnet, some people hoard others see it as a side business and sell some off..Coinflation.com is good for basic silver melt values and cointrackers.com is good for key dates etc (however sometimes their values are highly exaggerated) I personally check ebay (sold items only) and a good coin book for more accurate prices. Also there is a cool way to grade your coins using the PCGS photograder online, he may be able to find that useful when deciding the condition of each coin pcgs.com/photograde , hope that helps.

Buy a red book. Don't pay much attention to the coin values, but it has great information on mintages, metal content, key dates, ect. Its handy to have around when you first start out. Welcome to the forum!!

Damn autocorrect was supposed to be thanks in advance lol

Thanks for all the great info!
