New to the Hobby in Fresno, Ca

Hi everyone, after my wife bringing this up for years we finally decided to give metal detecting a try. Our oldest is now 7 years old and we think it would be something fun to do with the entire family and a great excuse to explore the outdoors. I run classic gaming websites for a living and trust me I need every excuse to see the sun that I can find. I wanted to start off with something fairly decent so after plenty of research we decided to start off with the Garrett Pro AT. Seems like a good all around unit without going completely nuts. Ordered from amazon due to the quick shipping and it should be here Tuesday!

I've been an avid forum user and administrator for 15 years so I look forward to getting to know everyone and sharing in the fun. Now for a new learning adventure
