New to the hobby

Hello everybody. I'm new to all this and haven't got a detector yet. I'm very interested in getting started and plan to purchase soon. Anyone able to tell me what kind of MD would be good for a beginner? I'm not looking to break the bank on something I haven't even done yet. Thanks!
