Howdy y'all,

New to these parts of the web and looking for a shared education on geology, mining, treasure hunting and of course metal detecting.

Right now I'm between detectors and I am seriously considering the Minelab x-terra 705 and or the Garret AT Pro.

Ultimate goals for now are gold nugget hunting in a quartz vein and nearby riverbed in addition to 1600's and 1700's colonial sites in the North East.

Welcome aboard! The 705 is a good machine for prospecting,coins and relics. The AT-Gold would be better suited then the ATPro for prospecting. Good luck and HH!

X-terra 705 is offers one of the best options in detecting experience. I think its mostly use for Gold coin & treasure hunting, well nice to meet you on TNet forum.
