New to VA (Purcellville) from Illinois (Chicago Area)

Hi all,
Probably 95%+ of my posting was to the Illinois board, so I am probably new to everyone here. I just arrived earlier this month. I have detected for several years in the Chicago area. I am looking forward to meeting some of you and also any insights anyone may have specifically as to legality of detecting in Loudoun co, I live in Purcellville.

I look forward to getting out at some point for a first hunt in VA, but in addition to just moving in, my wife is due any day with our first. So, I am not sure when I'll be getting out. I prefer woods hunting over parks/grass.

You can hunt on private property with permission, state forest land or national park land is poff limits.

YOU ARE IN MOSBY territory....lots of good things to find if you can get on some of the period houses in the area.
