I took out my new X-Terra Pro out today for the first time as I water hunted a beach on a lake.
Once I got into the waist deep water the machine would turn its response off.
The machine was still on, but it would not beep over any target.
When the control box was submerged 6 inches deep I would hear and audible beep and the machine would quit working.
When I moved to the more shallow water with the control box at water level or an inch below it would start working again.
This went on and on for nearly two hours.
It seems to work as long as the control box stays 1 inch underwater or above the water.
If this is normal I'm getting a refund.
It's brand new out of the box only a few days.
I've been water hunting since the early 1990s with other water machines that performed a hundred times better. So I'm not a newbie.
