Happy New Year everyone. I hope everyone is still able to get out and do some hunting. We've finally seen a few cold days here but nothing a little bundling up can't handle. I've found a few goodies lately. These pics comprise about 4 different hunts in a couple of different areas but all still on the 3000 acres owned by the quarry I have permission to hunt.
These first few are of a gold plated wedding band I found in the woods beside an old home site. The little pill box was found in the same area. This looks similar to musket cap tins that I have seen. Can anyone confirm this?

That same day I found this neat deer spike skull intact. First one I have found intact with rack.

Then on a different part of the property on an old farm site, I finally found my first Sharps ringtail bullet. Then I found another Sharps and a large flat button that I managed to nick.

On Sunday I was poking around where the house foundation used to be on this farm and out popped my third ever Eagle Flying Cent, 1858. This is the first one that I have found in decent shape, even though it was hole-punched for a bracelet or necklace.

Yesterday was the Coup de grace when my third also, Eagle Belt Plate popped out of the foundation area. I about crapped myself. I almost know for a fact I went over this same spot before and probable ignored this signal as a tin can or something. It was about 20 feet from where I found the Flying Eagle cent the day before. Final pic (for now) looks crazy because there was so much corrosion on the face that I kept scrubbing it with naval Jelly so that now the tough green built up corrosion is visible, the old patina is visible, and the original metal is visible. Oh well, when I get done hopefully it will still look decent with all of the patina gone.
