New years eve .... badda boom!

So I have this firecracker roll. It was given to me a few years back. Forth of July? No to hot here, fire danger and all. But... tonight is cool, damp, perfect. Anyone ever ignite one of these? 1 1/2 4000 of them. I was going to light the roll without unrolling it. I was told unroll them (along a road I'm thinkin')
How long do these things last?
Yeh they are illegal here... (i don't care...)
