Newbe here...hello from sw virginia

Hello how is everyone? Well being new to the sport and not knowing much about it , i went out and got a pretty cheap unit just to see if i would like it...and boy do I..lol.. Took my son with me to the park near my house , it used to be old rail yard they took out the rails and made into a bike trail. We found spikes and more! But found these hook things not sure what they are if anyone has an idea let me know.. Thank You
