I just wanted to introduce myself, my son and I are looking forward to getting into metal detecting. This I feel would be a great father and son hobby, since I was a little kid I always wanted to get a metal detector but never did. My son (29 yrs old) has been researching through this site to find out what brand and model of metal detectors we should buy, any help would be awesome. We are mainly looking at coins, ect or now

Well I bought a Whites MX5 off of craigslist and I beleive I got a great deal, I wanted a Whites because they are from Sweet Home here in Oregon and I heard that their customer service is outstanding.
