Im heading to Wrightsville Beach, NC in about 10 days and plan on metal detecting ALOT. I have a BOUNTY HUNTER QUICK DRAW II. To be honest I'm not very good but I'm getting more comfortable. My question is would the coil that came on my BOUNTY HUNTER QUICK DRAW II be good or would a different coil be better? Thanks for any help

Stock coil should be fine. You will have to stay in the dry sand, as your single frequency VLF detector will freak out in the wet sand and start falsing like crazy. Just grid the dry sand low and slow, and get a good drysand handscoop. Good Luck!

If your tight on cash, these work great, just use a 1/2 drill bit and drill a bunch of holes in it.
unnamed.webp most local farm supply stores have them they are called feeder scoops. cost is around 5 to 8 dollars.

You will do fine with the stock coil. Remember.... do NOT dig the areas that have veggetation on the dunes! I have hunted the Emerald Isle, Topsail, Wrightville beach areas for years. The entire chain of islands are good. Don't forget the small beach areas at the end of the roads that end on the MAINLAND, looking at the island. If the little tiny beach (sandy area) next to the marina at the west end of the 74(?) bridge is still available, don't pass it up! Good luck. (edit: welcome to the Net!) TTC

take extra batterys with you and if you have a pinpointer take it with it will spee up your digging process the Bounty Hunter does not have a great pinpointer so this will ave you on digging . remember did everything that is a signal .i found 17 rings last winter from the each and several signals sounded like a pop tab .hppy hunting and post what you find.
